My husband has a favorite winter jacket. It's a bit on the well-used side and has a few rips and tears, but he still likes to wear it. He uses duct tape for the tears, but one of the pocket zippers is damaged and the main zipper in the front wasn't closing properly. So I decide to look into zipper repair....I never knew how many types of zippers there were before, never thought about it.
The teeth on the pocket zipper are fairly mangled so that will need to be completely replaced. However, the front zipper just needs a replacement slider as it's become deformed. I was able to bend it back into shape for now at least. It actually has a double zipper, so the second one might be used to replace the damaged one since my husband says he doesn't need the second slider.
I guess I'll give the front zipper repair a try and maybe sew up the tears. Then tackle that pocket zipper!
